Nintendo and Nyko Settle Nunchuk Lawsuit
That's All You Need to Know, Apparently
by Sarah

You may have forgotten, what with all of the lawsuits running rampant throughout the video game industry, but Nintendo has been involved in a legal dispute with Nyko for several months. Nyko, a publisher of third-party video game peripherals, was selling a wireless nunchuk that apparently was a little too similar to Nintendo’s first-party product. Of course, why anyone would want to waste money on something as pointless as a wireless nunchuk is beyond me, but that’s not the point. The point is that Nintendo sued, and as of today, that lawsuit has been settled, according to a press release I just received.
I wish I had more information for you, but the press release was very brief, and didn’t give any specifications other than “Under the agreement, Nyko will continue to sell a redesigned version of its Kama wireless controller.” Oh, and Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime is pleased to have resolved the dispute. I bet you were worried about Reggie, weren’t you? Yeah, me neither. Anyway, long story short, the lawsuit is done, and we don’t need to know any more details. Consider this case closed.
