If you have already purchased a Nintendo DSi, then you already know that new DSi owners receive 1000 free DSi points (equal to $10) upon registering the handheld system. However, if you have yet to buy a DSi and were considering it, Nintendo would like to remind you that you have just a little over a month left to get in on this offer. Only those who purchase and register a new DSi by October 5 at 12:00 pm (Pacific time) will get ten dollars to download the DSi game or application of their liking; everyone else is out of luck.

I think the recently announced new DSi colors are more likely to move units then ten dollars' worth of Nintendo monopoly money, but hey, I'm not going to complain about free money. I held off on getting a DSi and the top screen on my DS recently stopped working, so now might be the time to make a move. And by now, I mean when that pink DSi comes out later this month.
