Prince of Persia DLC Coming February 26
Get Ready for the Epilogue
by Sarah
While Prince of Persia may not have been one of my top five games of 2008, it was still a gaming experience that I enjoyed from start to finish. Without giving too much away, however, the ending did leave me wanting something more; I thought I would have to wait for a sequel to get it, but apparently that is not the case. Speaking with IGN, Ubisoft’s Jamal Rguigui stated that the DLC comes from ideas that the Prince of Persia team had during and after production, as well as feedback from the gaming community. Rguigui claims that it is “one of the most ambitious DLC projects from Ubisoft, and it adds to the understanding of PoP's new world and characters.”
The downloadable content will allow the Prince and Elika to explore a new environment, the corrupted Underground Palace, and will develop their relationship even further. Elika will have a new travel-based power, the Prince will gain another combat ability, and the team will face a new enemy. Interestingly, Rguigui also promises a higher level of difficulty for the DLC:
What hardcore Prince of Persia gamers want is a challenge and some of them found the game too easy. We understand this. Seeing such feedback, our vision and intentions with the DLC coincided with their comments quite well. We wanted to build a challenge and experience even greater with all the tools at our disposal, and let me say that there are a lot: Elika's power, traps, combat system, etc.

The Epilogue DLC will be out on February 26 for the 360 and PS3, but there’s no word on the pricing just yet. It will, however, have new achievements and trophies. Is anyone else interested in this? I’m certainly intrigued. I want to see exactly how tricky this greater challenge will be, and hopefully it will make the game’s ending a little more satisfying for me.

Yay? I'm still having fun with what I have to accomplish in the game.
Yeah, the ending of that game left me very unsatisfied. I hope that this turns out to be the big finish that they planned all along (and now i have to pay for), instead of the tacked on "bonus level" (that I now have to pay for). At least that way I'll have closure.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure which would upset me more...
You know, this is why I sometimes love not being able to buy the games I wanna play. I wait around forever, and when I finally get it, there's DLC, lol.
