Man, this is what happens when you only read the headline and not the full story. When I saw Kotaku reporting that a Resident Evil 5 co-op demo would be available for the Xbox 360 next week, I got really excited and thought Christmas had come early. Two whole stages of survival horror goodness from the franchise that has been scaring the pants off me for over a decade? What more could I ask for? Of course, then I actually proceeded to read the story, and my hopes were quickly dashed upon the rocks.

As it turns out, the demo is only for Japan—no news about the U.S. or any other regions getting one anytime soon. You’ll notice that I was nice enough to include that in the headline so no one else got as excited as I just did. I would like to assume that the rest of the world will be getting this demo not too long after Japan, but who knows. We’ll keep you posted.
