Rock Band DLC at a Discount
Crappy Songs For 99 Cents!
by Sarah
Want to know what the best part about Rock Band’s DLC this week is? I can save my money for a change. To take a break from offering really great songs from the history of rock and roll, this week we’re getting three “meh” songs. Harmonix obviously agrees, since they’re offering these gems at the discounted price of 99 cents apiece.
Black Tide – Shockwave
Paramore – Crushcrushcrush
Serj Tankian – Beethoven’s Cunt
Now that my ears are bleeding all over my computer from having to listen to those songs, I think it’s safe to say that I will not be downloading anything this week. They are all master tracks, but in this case, I’m not even sure if that’s a positive thing. Better luck next time!

It burns the ears!
I actually dig all three of these songs. I've been getting into Paramour lately, and Crushcrushcrush is one of my favs off of the album. Serj Tankian is a genius. I've never heard of Black Tide, but I will check them out. I do love the idea of giving new music from non-established artists (Serj hasn't established as a solo yet) for a discounted price.
This is my general problem with trying to "review" the DLC. It's music, it's all relative. For me, the week I save money was the week of the Police pack. And last week when I only bought Casey Jones.
I guess I won't download any DLC this week.
I've never listened to the provided bands but I'm going to download Black Tide's Shockwave right now.
Pretty much anything you can review is relative. But this wasn't a review, just a blatant opinion. Maybe I'm just not down with what the kids are listening to these days.
