Rumor: Animal Crossing Wii at E3?
I'd Pay 100 Bells For That Game!
by Sarah
Although it’s been known for awhile that the next installment in the Animal Crossing series has been in the works for the Wii, very little info about this game has been released. And as a reluctant (but big) Animal Crossing fan, I’m getting pretty damn impatient waiting for more news from Nintendo. However, that may all change when E3 hits this year.
VideoGames Blogger speculates that Nintendo will be unveiling Animal Crossing Wii at this year’s E3. Since I’ve personally made this guess in the past, I’m now even more hopeful that more information on this game is going to be announced at the Expo, like maybe a release date. The website also put together an interesting list of possible features the new Animal Crossing may have, like online play allowing you to go from your town to a friend’s with ease, or even simultaneous play with a friend.
Though the Wii’s online features have been seriously criticized in the past, recent releases like Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Mario Kart Wii have shown that the system is capable of a fun online experience. I’m guessing that Animal Crossing Wii will be the best one the franchise has seen yet; hopefully Nintendo will let us know what they’ve got up their sleeve before the year is out.

I've been waiting for this for a long time. I'm expecting online to be like Wild World. I have my Wii chipped, so I'll post a review when it's released in Japan.
