Rumor: Guitar Hero Beatles on the Way?
I Read the News Today, oh Boy

Activision is trying really hard to get people to pay attention to Guitar Hero again. Ever since Rock Band came out, it’s become very apparent that Guitar Hero just doesn’t compare. Attempts to remedy this have already been made, with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith on the way. It’s even been rumored that Van Halen might get their own installment in the franchise. So who could be next?
According to one music industry insider, it might just be the Beatles. For some reason, both Guitar Hero and Rock Band have egregiously overlooked this band, which is odd since they’re obviously one of the biggest names in the history of rock and roll. While there’s no word yet from Activision, Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO Marty Bandier told the LA Times that Guitar Hero: The Beatles is “something we have talked about and something I’d like to pursue.”
Honestly, this is something that could make me turn my attention back to Guitar Hero. I used to be a die-hard fan of the series, but ever since Rock Band came into my life, I have felt no need to go back to Guitar Hero. The Beatles have been one of my favorite bands since about the time I was born, so it would be exciting to get to rock out to them in Guitar Hero. And with Sir Paul McCartney's recent divorce settlement of over $50 million dollars, it might be easier than ever to get the band's approval. Of course, this is all speculation right now, but hopefully it will come to light.

Sorry Guitar Hero you're dead to me....
I'd give it a try, even though I am not really a Beatles fan. I'd love to see them in Rock Band to try my hand at Ringo's dumbing.
Green, green, green, oh look, a red one...green...
I think this would be much better in Rock Band as well, if only because the [early] Beatles guitar riffs are somewhat lacking in the, shall we say, technical area. Being able to belt out "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" while playing bass on lefty flip would be pretty fun too. And I'm all for songs that I can pick up on expert drums in one play through. Needless to say, I'll be cheering for Rock Band to get this deal.
