Rumor: LucasArts Indiana Jones Game Finally Being Unveiled Next Week

Trailer to Appear Years After Announcement?

by Sarah

You may have forgotten this, but a couple of years ago, LucasArts announced that they were working on a new Indiana Jones video game, and they did not mean one that would feature Legos. Instead, this game was to be released for the 360 and PS3 sometime last year, and was going to show off the power of the Euphoria engine. Time passed, and despite a new Indy movie and a Lego-ized game of the original trilogy both seeing the light of day, the mysterious Euphoria-powered Indiana Jones game has yet to be seen.

However, the word from the GameStop Expo currently taking place in Las Vegas is that LucasArts is finally, finally going to show the world more of this game next week. According to Kotaku, it looks like the game will utilize the Force Unleashed engine, and will supposedly be released next year. I guess LucasArts got distracted by making those new Star Wars games, and, you know, firing a whole bunch of its staff and all. At any rate, it’s about damn time we hear more about this game, so we’ll keep you updated on the status of Indiana Jones: The Next-Gen Adventure

I would love a quality Indiana Jones game. I think it's a good sign that it wasn't rushed and packaged with the 4th film release.

If the game is any good, it'll be worth the wait. However, this isn't a franchise that does well with long periods of time between projects...

I am starting to think that I am the only person that enjoyed the 4th Indy film. Minus Even Stevens of course...

I'm just hoping it's not as bad as those "choose your own adventure" books from the late 1980's. I still have one somewhere in my collection, whether it's with me in Connecticut or at my mom's place in Florida, I don't know.
