Rumor: Soul Calibur IV PS3 Will Require 8.5 Gigs
It Needs Extra Space For All That Boobage
by Sarah
So here's another slap in the face to PS3 owners: according to Kotaku, there's a rumor making the rounds that the highly anticipated fighter Soul Calibur IV will require a hard drive for 360, and carry yet another mandatory install for PS3 owners. Four gigs? Five? Nope, this baby is carrying a 6.5 gig install, and will take up another 2 GB for save data. Yes, that's right, PS3 owners need to have 8.5 GB of free space for this game, if this is true.
We've been saying for awhile now that these mandatory installs are getting out of control, and PS3 owners with a 20 or 40 GB are totally getting screwed here. What could be taking up all this space? Does Darth Vader really carry that much weight? Or is it the massive amount of boobage the ladies of Soul Calibur bring to the table?

Of course, 360 owners could be getting a bad deal this time around as well if they don't have a hard drive. Then again, if you're still trying to get by with just a puny memory card for yout 360, that's your own fault. We'll let you know more if and when we get confirmation or a denial on this news.

I get the 2GB save file. Robust creator mode. Fine. Whatever. But 6.5GB install?? Where do you draw the line? How much longer until 10GB installs? Then people with 20GB PS3s can have 2 games. Fucking retarded, man.
Hah, Castlevania Judgement won't have to deal with this!

wow that a lot I am going to be doing some deleting
Glad I installed that there 160GB hard drive a few weeks back!
I have an 80GB - AND - I plan on getting this game for the 360. Win-win, I say.
But yeah, this is insane.
Even for an 80 gig... we're talking a tenth of the space for one game, should this be true. That's pretty lame.
