About a month ago, THQ announced that the follow-up to Saints Row would be hitting 360 and PS3 systems in late summer. However, in a shocking and unprecedented move completely unforeseen by everyone, it appears that the game will not be making its anticipated release date. That’s right, Saint’s Row 2 will not be released this August, as the game has been pushed back to October 14. Sorry, I’m still trying to recover from the shock of it all.

In all seriousness, I am totally fine with this move if it means THQ is taking some extra time to actually make sure their game is relatively bug-free. Since the first Saints Row was chock full of glitches, I’m not too eager to run out and pay $60 for a sequel unless I know there’s some definite improvement. In the meantime, I guess re-playing GTA IV is going to have to tide everyone over. That doesn’t sound so bad, does it?
