It’s been said before, but the Wii is the perfect console to be used in the resurrection of the point-and-click genre. Zack and Wiki was a good start, and it looks like adventuring-and-abrasive police duo Sam and Max might be next to make their move onto the Wii.



The news was released via a German press release, which, once translated, reveals that a Sam and Max game is currently being adapted for the Wii. Most likely, the Wii game will be a port of the episodes currently on PC, but not being much of a PC gamer, I haven’t tried them out and would welcome them to the Wii.

I’ve been a Sam and Max fan since the early 90s, so for me, this is really awesome news... assuming that it's actually true. Gamervision has reached Telltale Games for confirmation on this story, and Emily Morganti, their Marketing Coordinator, has given this statement: "The announcement comes as a complete surprise to me, but I’m looking into it." That's not exactly what I'd call promising, but let's keep our fingers crossed that this rumor actually happens.
