Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Revealed as DS Game
Something is Amiss at the South Pole
by Sarah

After launching a teaser site and accidentally revealing a new Shin Megami Tensei game, Atlus has unveiled more information about the title to a Japanese magazine (at least, that’s what I am assuming from this article on Kotaku, since I don’t read Japanese). While it won’t be that next-gen SMT game we wanted (we’ll have to wait for Persona 5, I guess), it is a brand new title for the DS.
Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey features a team sent to investigate some mysterious goings-on at the South Pole. That’s pretty much all I know as far as gameplay goes, but I’m going to go out on a limb and assume there will be demons or monsters of some sort. Strange Journey is scheduled for an October 8 release in Japan, and if history is any indication that means we can expect it in North America sometime around next summer.

Oh boy! God forbid they work on the PS3.
I'm sure this is going to be cool. Even the Digital Devil Saga games which were my least favorite were still good games, so I look forward to this game's release.
Awesome. The South Pole is one of my favorite poles.
It should also be noted that this is the 1st game since Nocturne to have the title Shin Megami Tensei in japan, as only in the US and Europe do the games have SMT in the title for brand recognition ;)
Oh, and I don't think we'll wait until next summer
Devil Survivor only took 5 months between the japanese and the US version.
@ Coop - I'm sure that, some day, they'll actually want to produce the series for the PS3. It's just not going to come until the next console generation is upon us. That's all. No biggie.
