Yesterday, EA announced the next expansion for The Sims 3, simply titled Ambitions. As the name implies, Ambitions will add several new career paths to the game, as well as giving players full control over their Sims while on the job for the first time ever. In case the press release and screenshots didn't get the message across, we've also got a launch trailer that helps shed light on just how wacky Ambitions is.

"Save the day or revel in chaos", hmm? I wonder which way most gamers will go. It looks like Ambitions is going to add a lot of gameplay to the ever-expanding world of The Sims 3, much like the previous expansion, World Adventures, did. World Adventures added some light adventure gameplay to the series, and it looks like at least some of these careers may do the same; I'm also interested in how being an architect or stylist will change the look of the town and its inhabitants.

This is, without a doubt, going to drag me right back into The Sims 3, and probably going to keep me there all summer long. Is anyone else intrigued by the possibility of this expansion pack? Which career path do you think will be the most interesting?
