Sims 3 Gets February 20 Release Date
You Guys Have Five Months to Buy Me a Computer

More news straight out of Games Convention 2008, courtesy of videogaming247: The Sims 3, the next installment in EA’s addictive life-simulating series, now has a solid release date of February 20, 2009. It will have a global release, so for once, Europe will not be getting the shaft. While EA didn’t give out a whole lot of new info, like system requirements, there was some mention of “attributes, like charisma, being evil, create-a-Sim.” Back up—did you say being evil?! Nice!
Okay, maybe Sims players have been unofficially evil since the original game came out (come on, you know you put your Sim in the pool and then took out the ladder so he or she drowned, admit it), the possibility of actually having an evil Sim is intriguing. I’m not going to lie, I would probably have a lot of fun with this game, but I doubt my Dell laptop will be able to handle it (it barely runs Sims 2). So, you know what that means, right? Someone needs to buy me a new computer. Thanks, guys.

you know i played a sims game once, had a blast creating my house, then got annoyed.. my guy took FOREVER to do anything and then got mad when i didnt give him a shower daily.. its like I DONT HAVE THE TIME

Will this be available for both Mac AND Windows at launch? I'm guessing no, but I would much rather run this in Leopard than on my Bootcamp.
I was curious about that as well, but didn't see any info about a Mac release--I'm guessing no just based on the past.
