Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection Bringing 40 Sega Games to the 360 and PS3
Now You Can Play Sonic Spinball in 720p!

A few days ago, I noticed a game called Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection on a GameStop pre-order list for the 360 and PS3. I assumed that it was yet another compilation of Sonic the Hedgehog games, and wondered why anyone would pay for that when you can get all the Sonic games in super-cheap collections for the last-gen systems (as well as downloading many through XBLA or the Virtual Console). Well, as it turns out, Sonic is just the mascot for the anthology, which will actually feature forty games from the Sega Genesis era. And only six of them are Sonic games!
The full list of games for Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Collection has just been announced, and in addition to the speedy blue hedgehog, there are also classics like Vectorman, Comix Zone, and a whole bunch of others. (No Toe Jam & Earl, though, which is kind of weak). Yeah, many of these are also available for download, but the Collection’s $30 price tag makes it a pretty sweet deal. You can look for it next spring, and check out the full list below.

Wow, awesome fucking collection.
Bonanza Bros. was always my brother and I's coop jam. All the golden axes, ristar, both shining forces, a nice phantasy star collection, and the streets of rage trilogy make this a pretty GD unavoidable purchase.
DAMN.
If this game out for the PSP I'd be all over it.
Niiice. I missed lots of those games, it would be great if it came to Wii.
very fucking awesome collection indeed :)
