Sony: 440,000 PS3s Sold During Black Friday Week
Demand at an "All Time High"
by Sarah

In news that should surprise absolutely no one, a lot of PlayStation 3s were sold last week, also known as the week of Black Friday. Apparently, Sony and retailers were on to something with all of those awesome, money-saving bundles, and when the dust settled, 440,000 systems were sold in the week ending on November 29. Sony released a statement about the sales last night, stating that "the 2009 holiday season got off to an amazing start for PlayStation."
Though 440,000 systems sold may not be the kind of numbers that would make, say, Nintendo jump for joy, this is good news for Sony, and hopefully that momentum will continue throughout the holiday season, with or without the assistance of ongoing holiday sales. Honestly, those deals were kind of a no-brainer; if I didn't already have a PS3, you better believe I would have dropped $300 on a system and two games. Those of you who picked up a PS3 last week, are you happy with your purchase?

The bundles surely helped a lot, as they always do. Both are really good, actually.
I got 3 games with my purchase, and the system is mighty nice.
So yes I am very much indeed happy with my purchase. :) Now I just need time to play it and make a LBP level.
