Star Ocean: The Last Hope Coming to PS3
No Longer 360 Exclusive... in Japan
by Sarah

When Star Ocean: The Last Hope was announced, publisher Square Enix stated that the final game in the long-running RPG series would be exclusive to the Xbox 360. The game launched worldwide earlier this year, and as is so often the case these days, it appears that "exclusive" actually means "timed exclusive". It was revealed that Star Ocean: The Last Hope International will be coming to Japanese PS3s in February 2010 with a tweaked battle system and both English and Japanese voice-acting.
I personally enjoyed The Last Hope despite not being a huge fan of the rest of the series. It was a flawed but fun role-playing game, and I would like to see North American PS3 owners be able to get the same experience--hopefully without the technical problems the 360 version had. For now, The Last Hope International is only slated for a Japanese release, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it comes overseas by the end of 2010.

Yay! Wait, what? Role reversal, much?
And who else thought that this would happen? Can I see a raising of hands?
Aye!
you knew this would happen, the game sold pretty poorly for such a huge franchise.
That may be so, but it's a Square title. Square = Sony. That's how I roll.
