The Accuracy of The Beatles: Rock Band in Pictures

Nothing You Can Say But You Can Learn How To Play the Game

by Sarah

Love them or hate them, The Beatles are one of the biggest bands of all time. Period. From the moment The Beatles: Rock Band was announced, Harmonix and MTV Games made it clear that they understood just how big a deal this game was, and from what I saw and played at E3, they have not taken this responsibility lightly. The game goes beyond being just another band-themed expansion to earn its place as a wonderful standalone music game that doubles as a playable history of one of rock and roll’s most influential groups.

So just how accurate are the depictions of the band members throughout the years in the game? Bitmob did an excellent picture comparison between screenshots and photographs to find out, and the results are—well, I can’t say they’re unexpected, but they simply reinforce what I already thought: a tremendous amount of research and attention to detail was put into the development of The Beatles: Rock Band.

I can’t stop talking about this game, and for good reason. I’ve been a fan of The Beatles longer than I can remember, and it feels like this game was simply made for me; I imagine that there are many other Beatles fans feeling the same way. I can’t wait to play through their entire career over and over again once the game finally launches in September.

wow this looks amazing! i really like that the game has its own look and feel which mimics the real thing but doesn't try to copy it so closely that it ends up looking blocky and weird.
