Three Guitar Hero III DLC Songs On the Way

Does Anyone Really Care Anymore?

by Sarah

Remember how Guitar Hero III promised, much like Guitar Hero II did, to give us constant and never-ending weekly downloadable content for the game? Yeah, they haven’t really been able to deliver, while Rock Band has been solid every week.

However, that may be about to change, as some new songs have shown up on the leaderboards at GuitarHero.com. The songs? “Jukebox Hero” by Foreigner, Boston’s “Peace of Mind”, and Journey’s “Any Way You Want It”. “Jukebox Hero” is a great song; I have a ton of fun playing it on Rock Band, where it’s already been made available. I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed by the choice of Journey tune: as much as I wanted Journey in this game, why would you not go with “Don’t Stop Believing”?

Any Way You Want it… unless you wanted a super ballad, in which case too bad.

I’m probably being a little too critical, as those are all excellent song choices, especially “Peace of Mind”. I would get really excited, but I haven’t played my Guitar Hero III since Rock Band came out. Although give me some Eagles or Pink Floyd and I might just come running back.

Rock Band is where it's at now...I suppose.....

Seeing as I already have Juke Box Hero on Rock Band, the only song I want is "Any Way You Want It." I'd only get it to sing it, and I'm sure we'll see it appear on Rock Band. Rock Band should just release a Journey pack.

Hell yeah, Rock Band Journey pack. We can only hope.
