TMNT Smash-Up Gets Tentative Release Date
UPDATED: Ubisoft's Ninja Turtle Brawler Coming Out September 15?
by Sarah

Ever since Ubisoft announced a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game in January, there has been a lot of interest and not a lot of information about it. What we do know is that it’s a brawler made by the developer of Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and it won’t be a tie-in to a movie, cartoon, or other form of media. However, we have now also gotten word about a tentative release date for the game via an internal GameStop document: September 15. This date is also listed on GameStop’s website.
This hasn’t been confirmed by Ubisoft, but it does make sense and fit into the “Fall 2009” window that was previously given for the game. We have contacted Ubisoft to see if they will comment on whether or not this date is accurate, so we’ll keep you posted when and if they respond.
UPDATE: Ubisoft has responded by saying "Ubisoft hasn’t announced an official launch date as of yet." So, not a confirmation, but not exactly a denial either.

Preeeeeetty sure you can't throw swords like that....
I'd love some info on th actual gameplay. I'm hoping for Power Stone meets Smash Bros vibe. Also, a roster would be nice.
There's no way those swords will go through Raphael's guard...no way!
@ loltim and Johpin: May I remind you what we're dealing with here?
Teenage.
Mutant.
Ninja.
TURTLES.
I think they threw out logic and physics out the window a long time ago.
Thank you, J-Man. Seriously guys, NINJA FUCKIN TURTLES.
Also, Tim, I don't remember you being an expert in Swordology, or any of the fake ninja arts, for that matter.
That just shows how little you really know about me, Sarah....
