This is a little confusing, but good news for Trauma Center fans nonetheless. It was announced last week that a new Trauma Center game for the DS was heading to Japan in August. Normally, Atlus games come out in Japan at least a few months before they do in the U.S. However, today it’s being reported that Trauma Center 2 DS will be released in the U.S. on July 1. Last I checked, that’s actually earlier than August!

My guess is that there was some confusion about the Japanese release date somewhere along the line, because I can’t really see us getting this game before Japan. Whatever the deal is, it looks like Dr. Derek Stiles and company will be making their second DS appearance this summer, and to me, that is good news. Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2 is currently scheduled to release on July 1.
