Two New Trailers For Beijing 2008
A New Olympics Game Due Out This Summer
by Sarah
This may not make a whole lot of sense, given my open disdain for watching most sporting events, but I love the Olympics. Love them. A lot. I get super excited every time I see commercials for the upcoming summer games in Beijing, and plan to watch every minute of them that I possibly can. I can’t tell you why, but there is just something about track and field, beach volleyball, and gymnastics that is just fascinating to watch in such a competitive setting.
What I’m not so sure about is the upcoming Beijing 2008 video game, due out later this summer for the 360, PS3, Wii, and PC. I skipped out on past Olympic-based video games, so I’m not sure how well the formula translates over to consoles and computers. These two new trailers make the game look pretty exciting, though!
You know, I’m seeing a whole lot of track and field events, but not much of anything else. What, no trampoline action? One thing’s for certain: it’s got to be better than Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games… right? Right? We’ll find out later this summer, so stay tuned for a full review.

Watching these vids make me long for the days of the PowerPad. I hope (most likely against hope) that this isn't just going to be a button mashfest.
