One of my most anticipated games of the year—and without a doubt my most anticipated PS3 game—is Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. I’ve now seen it in action twice, once at New York Comic Con in February, and again at E3 last month, and both times I was impressed and excited by what I saw. We already knew that Uncharted 2 was coming out in October, but Sony has revealed an official release date to Kotaku: October 13. Wait a minute, that’s the same day as Brütal Legend! Holy crap, that day might actually implode from awesomeness.
Additionally, the final box art has been revealed. Box art doesn’t excite me that much, other than reminding me that the game is, indeed, almost done.
Now it’s time to decide which retailer will be getting your hard-earned dollars. I’ve had my copy reserved at GameStop since before E3, which seems like it might have the best pre-order deal going on: exclusive first access to the multiplayer demo, and the downloadable Revenge Attribute. Other retailer bonuses are as follows:
Game Crazy: Exclusive currency multiplier for online multiplayer.
Amazon.com: Exclusive treasure map.
Best Buy: Golden weapons to be used in multiplayer.
So now that everything is said and done, where will you be buying Uncharted 2? And if you’re not… why the hell not?
