When Valkyria Chronicles 2 was announced as a PSP game coming to Japan in late 2009, I was both elated and nervous. I was thrilled that one of the best (and most under-appreciated) games of 2008 was getting a sequel, but apprehensive that the game's poor North American sales meant that I would never actually get to play it unless I moved overseas and learned Japanese. Well, I think I can stop packing, because Sega announced today that Valkyria Chronicles 2 is coming to North America in summer 2010.

The teaser trailer shown above doesn't tell us a whole lot about the game, but the fact that it's coming is good enough for me. Just talking about it is reminding me how fantastically challenging and addictive the first game was; I might even have to go back and play it again. PS3 owners who have not yet played Valkyria Chronicles, you may want to rectify this mistake before the sequel hits.
