Valkyria Chronicles 2 Demo Maybe Hitting Japanese PSN Next Week
Time to Move to Japan
by Sarah

I’ve been extremely vocal about the fact that Valkyria Chronicles was one of my favorite games of 2008. For all the whining and bitching about how the PS3 doesn’t have enough exclusives, Sega handed gamers a beautiful, phenomenal strategy RPG, and it was largely ignored. Luckily, it did well enough to warrant a PSP sequel, and reportedly, a demo for Valkyria Chronicles 2 will be hitting the Japanese PSN next week. Hooray!
Now, I don’t live in Japan, but I’ve got a couple of options here. One involves selling blood and some organs, booking a flight to Tokyo, finding the nearest internet connection, and downloading the demo. Or, you know, I could just use my Japanese PSN account. I’m hoping it contains a full battle, I can’t wait to see if the gameplay mechanics have changed. Even with the less impressive handheld graphics, the first game was so addictive that I’m probably going to adore the second, PSP or not. We’ll keep you posted if the demo actually shows up, as well as when it makes its way to the North American PlayStation Store.
