What Are You Playing This Week? 07.20.09
The Waiting is the Hardest Part

With the drought of games so far this month, I have managed to get caught up on my reviews, and it looks like I’ll be free and clear by August, which was my goal. The only problem with that is I now have no idea what to do with myself, gaming-wise. I was planning on Wolfenstein taking up the first half of August for me, leading right into Batman: Arkham Asylum and Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. As you probably know, Wolfenstein has been pushed back to later next month, and the drought continues.
In the meantime, I’ll be actually taking the time to enjoy every bit of dialogue, every Easter egg, and every graphical upgrade of The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition on Xbox Live Arcade. I keep comparing the old and new visuals, and am fascinated by the similarities and differences in them. While I’m sure I’ll find something else to fall back on later in the week, today is also a proud day for me, because I will finally complete a 30-day challenge in EA Sports Active. I wasn’t able to get enough workouts in during my first month with the game due to E3 and Wizard World Philly, but I’ve buckled down and am finally getting comfortable with longer, harder workouts. Almost two months later, I’m still using it almost every day, so that’s something.
Yes, my gaming is a bit boring this week, but hopefully it will pick up soon. Any recommendations? Tell me what else I should be playing this week.

I am a bit 'behind'; although I read news about the latest fasion of games, I don't really play them because I own only PS2 and an old pc...
Damn, I get jealous whenever I see someone speaks of playing new games...
i get jealous of people who get to sleep in every morning.
Target has buy one and get one 50% off so I'm hoping my week will be Ghostbusters and Red Faction. I've also just discovered Horde mode for GoW2.
trying to finish up Last Remnant, playing NHL 09 still, getting back into MLB 09 The Show and whatever gamefly sends me next (wolverine please!!)
I just picked up force unleashed and ninja gaiden sigma, so I'll be playing those this week!
Now I gotta play Magic on XBLA cause Coop went and said it was good. Dick.
hehe let me finish my paper and then I'll play gears. :)
I think I'm going to get Magic on XBLA as well, if I ever finish this friggin' school work.
Still working through LEGO Batman, LEGO Indiana Jones, and Wii Tiger Woods.
The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall. It's free, it's huge, and it's awesome.
