What Are You Playing This Week? 08.24.09
I've Got It!
by Sarah

The last full week of August usually bums me out a little bit, because it indicates that summer is just about over. In the video game industry, however, that means that things are about to start heating up. After months of barely any worthy retail releases, I’m suddenly feeling a bit overwhelmed just thinking about what the beginning of September entails for me. I’m also getting ready to go on vacation in two weeks, which means I have a lot of reviews to wrap up beforehand. I got up early this weekend to get a lot of Wolfenstein in, as that will be the first review I cross off my list this week—just in time for Batman: Arkham Asylum. From what I’ve seen, played, and heard, Arkham Asylum is going to be amazing, and I will be dedicating most of the week to it.
There is, however, another significant release this week: Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. The first Layton game was fantastic, and I have been looking forward to this one since it was announced. However, I may have to put it on the back burner until I finish Persona PSP, another great handheld game. I’m digging it a lot, and should have a full review up within the next week and a half. Once September hits, things are going to get crazy, so I guess I should enjoy these last few so-called lazy days of summer while I can.

batman, madden, and MGS on the psp.
Madden, Trials HD, and I'm now contemplating Arkham.
a bunch of PS3 games this week..
Batman, Ghostbusters, InFamous, Fat Princess, Magic Ball, The Last Guy and NHL 09.
I just bought myself a DSi, so I'll be catching up on some missed classics. Also, I just got Shadow Complex to keep me busy at home. Otherwise, Arkham Asylum is a first day buy.
Good times with Batman: Arkham Asylum when I'm able to pick it up later on today. Well, about three more hours, anyway. Otherwise I'm picking back up inFamous and playing some DS games on the fly. This summer was just way too busy to do everything I wanted to... especially play video games. It's more like a precious commodity these days.
