Activision Discloses DJ Hero Renegade Edition
And You Thought $120 was Expensive for the Standard Edition...
by Sean

Hot on the heels of the announcement of the addition of perhaps greatest DJ ever to stand behind the wheels of stainless steel to DJ Hero, Activision has today unveiled the collectors' edition of the game, which they are calling the "Renegade Edition". Although it doesn't have a pair of night vision googles, the Renegade Edition ships with enough accessories to make any gamer look like an aspiring disc jockey.
The pack includes:
- DJ Hero game
- Renegade turntable controller featuring premium metal controls and finish
- Hardshell turntable carrying case that converts to performance-ready DJ stand
- Exclusive Jay-Z and Eminem 2-CD pack featuring unreleased tracks and collectible case designed by artist Shepard Fairey
As Gamervision's resident DJ aficionado, I have to say that I'm only slightly interested in this set-up. First of all, although it's nice that the carrying case also converts into a DJ stand, the basic version of DJ Hero already carrying a sticker price of $120, so I can't imagine spending an additional, undisclosed, amount of money for a table. And, again, although the sliders look nice with the metal finish, I just don't know that it'll be worth the extra money. I guess I'll have to wait to see what the pricing will be like for Scratch: The Ultimate DJ.
Here's the official pics of the Renegade Edition. Anyone buying it?

i was not buying the regular version so no way am i buying this.. plus if your giving me unreleased tracks, atleast make it from some good RAP artist, not Eminem and Jay Z
not sure if this is going to be worth whatever it is they're charging. i have a feeling there will be plenty of this particular version left over even after the regular edition sells out. if it even does.
