Activision Looking for a New Graphic Designer

They Have a Specific Skill Set in Mind Too

by Sean

A job listing from Activision today reveals that the studio is currently looking to hire a new graphic artist for a very specific job. Activision wants a new bullshot artist. For those of you not in the know (or those too lazy to click on that last link), bullshot is the practice of using Photoshop (or similar software) to "touch-up" screen shots before sending them out to an unforgiving public.

Normally companies go out of their way to make sure that people either don't know about their bullshoting, or to cover its tracks. However, this help wanted posting shows that Activision is openly looking not only to hire someone to fill this need, but also for that person to have the ability to train others how to do it.

From the listing:

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Perform advanced retouching of screenshots and teach skills to others as needed.

I guess the upside to this whole thing is that a) Activision is honest about their desire to lie and b) not every company is hell-bent on layoffs.

Wow. Yeah. Just like with the exploitation thing, all you can say is, "At least they're honest."

Pretty much out of good things to say about Activision after that.
