Angry Birds Coming to All Current Gen Consoles
This Addiction Will Spread
by Sean

Has there ever been a better way to spend a dollar than Angry Birds ($4.99 for the iPad version)? For less than the cost of a cup of coffee, you can get one of the most simple yet addictive games that has ever been released. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't had a chance to try it out how great Rovio's slingshot pig killer is, but soon, just about anyone will be able to get in on the fun. During last week's London Social Gaming Summit, according to Pocket Gamer, Rovio CEO Peter Vesterbacka confirmed that Angry Birds would be coming to the Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and Wii Shop Channel.
While this is clearly good news for anyone who hasn't been able to get the game on their phone (don't forget that Rovio made the game available for free for Android users last month), there is a touch of grey to the sliver lining. If you were hoping for more angered fowl, beyond the Halloween edition that was released, Vesterbacka shot down your dreams, stating that there would not be an Angry Birds 2. He did, however, state that there might be another title that would offer a new look at the game's universe from the pig's perspective.
No dates nor prices have been annoucned for the console ports of Birds, but rest assured that when they are released, you'll likely be hearing stories about sales records being broken, and lost business productivity. It's just the way with such a great game.
