Army of Two Getting Free DLC

Two New Campaign and Enhanced Multiplayer Maps Available Thursday

by Sean

Now that the glow of GTA IV has started to wane a bit, you may find yourself standing in a vast wasteland of gaming choices. This is the time of year when the store shelves get dusty, and you start to long for the releases of the winter months. Sure, Haze and Wii Fit have been getting a fair amount of buzz (maybe not all positive) but make no mistake friends, we are in a lull.

Your friends over at EA think they have an answer to the summer doldrums (brought to you by Pontiac) as they are offering free DLC for their underwhelming shooter Army of Two. As of Thursday, two new campaign maps, and an "enhanced" multiplayer map will hit both the PlayStation Store and XBLA (brought to you by Pontiac). They're calling the whole thing, "the free Veteran Map Pack, sponsored by Pontiac".

The new campaigns consist of a mission in a subway station in Kiev where Rios and Salem "must find and destroy the central hub of a dangerous militia" and a trip to Miami "where they finally get the chance to take out Dalton, [their] ex-boss and the man responsible for framing them". And you can look forward to "more opportunities to show that a two-man team can be unstoppable" with the enhanced multiplayer map.

Personally, I figure for that price, I might as well give it a shot. So what about you, will you be picking up the further adventures of the Army of Two?
