Army of Two: The 40th Day Introduces the Intro Video

With the weekend just around the corner, maybe your thoughts are turning to that special someone, that significant other, your one true love. If you have one, you should consider yourself lucky, because not everyone is lucky enough to find a true soulmate. But for the others, love is something incomparable. Take, for example, EA's Salem and Rios. Their first love story, entitled Army of Two, demonstrated the kind of love that can only be shared between two truly matched souls. The game's sequel, The 40th Day, sends the two off on their honeymoon, whisking them away for what is supposed to be an exotic getaway to scenic Shanghai. Of course, our two star-crossed lovers can't enjoy two seconds in each others' arms before the bombs start going off, taking out some of Shanghai's best known landmarks. Oh love, will you ever get a chance?
Seriously though, this is apparently the game's intro video. While the explosions and character models sure do look fine, the standout in that trailer, for me, is the city itself. Shanghai seems to be rendered so gorgeously, with lighting effects that look to add a layer of realism that was sorely lacking in the first game. I wasn't really looking forward to the game when it was first announced, but the more videos I see, the more excited I get.
