Band Hero Demo is on Xbox Live
A Demo Before a Game's Release? What a Country!
by Sean

In a rare move, the Xbox Live Arcade has added a game demo for a game that (get ready for it) hasn't been released yet. That's right ladies and gentlemen, Activision has deigned to give gamers a taste of the upcoming Band Hero a full two weeks before the game hits store shelves. You may be asking yourself, "Why?", and I'd be hard-pressed to come up with an answer. Maybe the pre-orders for Band Hero have been low, maybe Activision is so super-proud of the game that they just had to get it to people as soon as it was ready. I don't know, and it doesn't matter. It's available!
The demo, which promises "classic chart-topping hits" delivers three songs, which I suppose could have topped some kind of chart at some point in time. The tracks are Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer", Katrina & the Waves' "Walking on Sunshine" and Taylor Swift's "Picture to Burn". It will include Party Play and Sing-Along mode, all with the family friendly style Band Hero is all about.
While there's no word as to whether or not the playble Taylor Swift and Adam Levine characters will be in the demo, the fact remains that it is available. So if you've been complaining about developers not giving us access to games early enough (I know I have), today is your day to look a gift horse in the mouth.
