Capcom Admits that Seth and Sagat Are Unfairly Powerful
Also Confirm the Wet Factor of Water, Importance of Oxygen

For many gamers (I include myself), Street Fighter IV has been one of the highlights of this year. Its blend of classic 2D fighting, eye-popping HD graphics, and cast of classic characters has been a breath of fresh air into a genre many have left behind. However if you're anything like a lot of gamers, you may have had some difficulty with returning favorite Sagat, and the game's final battle with new boss, Seth. And by "some difficulty", I mean "a shit-ton of controller-throwing frustration". Apparently this is not an uncommon feeling, and is in fact shared by the game's developer, Capcom.
In an interview with Videogamer, Ryota Niitsuma, assistant producer for the arcade port of SFIV, was asked if any of the game's characters were overpowered, and first responded with, "Well first of all I might have to apologise! Does he involve being slightly blinded and scarred [laughs]?" And then claimed that Sagat and Seth "might have turned out a little bit stronger than we expected".
A little bit stronger? Really?! I have yet to play a game on medium where I can win two rounds against Seth, and I'm hardly a noob (let the flames begin). It got so frustrating for me that I actually had to turn the game's difficulty down two levels in order to start unlocking characters. I just got so sick of hearing, "Become a part of me" over and over again. It's good to know I have company in that regard, although the fact that it's the game's company is cold comfort.

Yup. Comforting. I can't beat Seth on Normal. Freaking cheater. I told a friend this and after the first round, he was like, "what the hell are you talking about?", but he quickly understood after rounds 2 and 3.
Seth, IMHO, is extremely cheap, but Sagat never really seemed overpowered. I'd put him on par with Ken and Sakura.
I dunno how much SFIV you guys play but sagat is DISGUSTINGLY OP. Tiger Shot xinfinite spam -> Tiger Knee. Game Over. Whenever someone picks sagat online, I know I'm going to lose.
Also, I've left my system on for days attempting to beat Seth on normal for the achievement, just hoping each time would be the last.
