Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners have been getting their Manjini-kill-on with Resident Evil 5 since mid-March, but so far PC users have been locked out of the joy of blasting their way through Kijuju. Capcom today announced how much longer PC gamers will have to suffer without RE5, as the PC port of the game has finally gotten an official release date. The game will be available starting on September 15th in the U.S., and then on the 18th for our European friends.

The PC version will include new costumes and a new and improved   mercenaries mode with three times as many enemies.

Capcom has also announced that RE5 PC will support NVIDIA’s new GeForce 3D Vision technology, allowing PC gamers to experience the world of Kijuju in terrifying three-dimensional glory. Of course the wireless 3D Vision Glasses are sold separately ($199 through NVIDIA's website), but if you're into the whole immersion thing, it's probably a small price to pay. And in an "industry first", the 3D support will not just include gameplay, but will extend to all cinematic cut-scenes as well.

Fans who are interested in the 3D technology, but want to see it in action before dropping two bills on the peripheral can check out a demo by heading here.
