In an official announcement this morning on the Smash Bros. Dojo, we learned that another new character has been officially added to the eagerly awaited Wii title, Super Smash Bros. Brawl. And that character (or, to be more accurate, characters) added: Captain Olimar and five colors of Pikmin.

According to the Dojo, Captain Olimar will not be able to even do a Smash Attack without the Pikmin. But the little fellas apparently will be short-lived, and will have a tendency to scatter. It seems Olimar will have his work cut out for him. 

With this addition, there is now no competition for cutest character on Brawl. Those little Pikmin are just the most adorablest ever! This makes the twelfth announced character, joining another dozen veteran characters. Twelve and twelve does seem to have a nice symmetry to it, but I for one am hoping for more additions.

What I'm not looking forward to is how insufferable Coop will be when he hears about this, as he called this addition way back in November. Get ready for gloating on a titanic scale!
