The gang over at Cheap Ass Gamer have found themselves right in the middle of the latest controversy stemming from the price drop on the PS3. Circuit City has subpoenaed the site in an attempt to get personal information on a user who posted the Circuit City sale circular showing the lower price before it had been officially announced. The subpoena references a CAG forum posting that revealed the PS3 price drop before it was formally announced. This is the posting in question: "* GAMERS / MOVIE AFFICIANADOS: Please note $100 Price Break on Playstation 3 Game System which brings the price down to $499.99 // Remember that you can get 5 free Blu-Ray DVDs with purchase of any Blu-Ray Player / Game system by going here: http://www.bluraysavings.com/" CAG Productions CEO David Abrams (you know him better as Cheapy D) has said that the site is committed to "do what is right and legal" in handling this situation, further going on to say, "The CAG community's trust and respect is very important to me, so I've hired legal representation to deal with the situation". We at Gamervision stand behind Cheap Ass Gamer and their belief in protecting the identities and anonymity of their users and want to assure you that if ever called upon to do so, we will do everything within the law to keep your information out of the hands of those you don't want to have it.
