Civilization V Dated for Mac
Available Just in Time for Thanksgiving!
by Sean

You may remember that towards the end of October, Firaxis announced that it was teaming up with developer Aspyr to port the world-creation simulator Civilization V to Macintosh machines. At that time, we were promised that the game would be out during the "holiday season", but that was as much as we knew. Today, however, the developer's website has been update with both a release date, and the option to pre-order (via GameAgent.com). Now the world knows that beginning on November 23rd, Civ V will be available for Mac.
The 23rd is the release date not only for the digital copies of the game, but for the boxed in-store copies as well. The reviews for Civ V have been overwhelmingly positive, with most critics claiming that Firaxis has brought enough of what people love about the franchise to the newest iteration, while updating it enough to make it seem like more than just a patch. Regardless, it's now all but confirmed for Mac users out there how the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday will be spent: in a turkey-induced coma, taking over the world.
