Next week the second venture into the Dead Space universe begins as Visceral Games unleashes the Wii-exclusive, on-rails Dead Space Extraction. In preparation, the studio has released a pair of new trailers, the first focusing on the story of the game, and the second all about the controls. Both of the videos feature some faces and names familiar to fans of the horror-survival franchise, including script/comic writer Antony Johnston, and the chill-inducing marker. There's also an appearance in the control trailer by former Visceral vice president Glen Schofield, who left that studio for Activision in late July (which gives you some idea of how long these trailers have been in the can).

I think my favorite moment between the two trailers is in the control one when the game's executive producer Steve Papoutsis explains that the team wanted to make sure that the control scheme felt like natural, realistic movements. The next shot is of he and Schofield basically waggling like mad. Ah irony..
