Dementium II Gets a Delay

Two More Weeks Sounds Like Just Enough Time

by Sean

On Monday, Nintendo released its schedule of game releases for the spring of 2010. One of the entries on that list was Southpeak Games' DS sequel Dementium II. The Nintendo release stated that the game would be released on February 2nd of next year, but a press release from Southpeak this morning claims that, well, that may not exactly be the case. Although the release doesn't explicitly mention the word "delay", it did announce that Dementium II would be in stores beginning two weeks later, on February 16th.

So whether this is a case of Nintendo having the wrong information earlier this week, or a case of Southpeak simply not being able to guarantee delivery by the originally agreed-upon date, the fact of the matter is that players who were looking forward to a follow-up to 2007's handheld lunatic asylum shooter will have to wait until after Valentine's Day for satisfaction. Although if Southpeak manages to improve upon the original Dementium: The Ward, there can be little doubt that it will have been worth the wait.

OH SWEET GOD THAT IS FRIGHTENING. The delay, too, sort of scary.
