Diablo Fan Site Adds Mysterious Countdown Clock
Cause Noob.com's Ran Out
by Sean

For years there have been myths that gamers have held close to their hearts, stories they tell each other to keep the night terrors away- Final Fantasy Vii, Goldeneye as DLC, a reasonable Jack Thompson. But perhaps the biggest one of all is that game that normally is only discussed in hushed tones: Diablo III. It has been eight years since Diablo II hit store shelves and became the third best-selling game of all time, and fans of the series have need to cling to something, anything, to convince them that they'll see another installment.
Today those fans got some small glimmer of hope. Fansite Diablo3.com has added a countdown clock on their front page, complete with the text, " The number of days until half the web links to Diablo3.com. But why???"

As you can see, the countdown has another 13 days on it. What will it reveal? Is this the announcement gamers and fanboys the world over have been waiting eight years for? Stay tuned to find out!

count down till the cease and desist order kicks in.
nice. im one of those gamers taht was always hoping for a diablo three ever since my cousin got me 1, 2, and LoD. it would be great if they make another as long as they dont screw it up.
Diablo 3 is right up there with Starcraft II as the most anticipated sequels in gaming history. I really hope this means it's coming soon.
Chances are it's a tease and there IS a big announcement, but it's not the one everyone wants. My predictions: World of Diablo-craft? Next-gen version of Lost Vikings? WoW on the DS? Something else that ISN'T DIII?
