A demo has been added this morning to Xbox Live for the upcoming RPG sequel Divinity 2: Ego Draconis. The game puts players in the shoes of a Dragon Slayer, a warrior who travels the countryside of Rivellon in the hopes of ridding the land of the cruel dragon scourge. The world, which was once beautiful and idyllic, now finds itself shattered by wars fought long ago. Your task, other than wiping out dragons, is to bring about the salvation of Rivellon.

I will admit that this game hasn't been on my radar screen until I saw that the demo was available, nor have I ever played the original. It seems to have all the makings of a decent RPG, most notably allowing players to lay waste to dragons. It's also built on the Gamebryo engine, which powered both Oblivion and Fallout 3, so there's a pretty good chance that it won't suck. Since it's free and you most likely have some time to kill this week, it may be worth checking out.
