DJ Hero Intro Video Shows... Something
Post-Apocalyptic Dance Party with Tractor Trailers, Cause, Why Not
by Sean

To some, DJ Hero may be a confusing concept as a rhythm game. Most of the videos and screens that have come out have shown a lot of on-screen gameplay, but not much in the way of how exactly players will use the peripheral. Activision has released the game's intro video, and if you were hoping it would shed some light on how the game will play, you'll be sorely mistaken. Instead, we get a look at a strange futuristic metropolis where all the people are at a rave, and two tractor trailers play a game of chicken in order to deliver a record to the DJ. At least, I think that's what's going on. It could just as easily be a sequel to the video for 2Pac's "California Love". You tell me:
If I'm reading the message of this video correctly, it looks like only DJ Hero can save the highways of the future from certain doom. Or maybe it's the only game that can turn a giant street party into the must-attend event of the year. Either way, I'm now even more confused about DJ Hero than I was at the beginning of the day, and honestly, isn't that Activision's goal?

Not going to lie: I fucking love this intro. Might not buy it, but damn does this intro rock the hizzy-foshizzy.
So this isn't Jet Set Radio 2?
Total misrepresentation of DJ culture.
Nobody uses vinyl anymore, however cotton is INDEED the fabric of our lives.
Wasn't this a Lauryn Hill video, first?
