DJ Hero Renegade Edition Gets 24 Additional Tracks

Jay-Z and Eminem Make for a True Collectors' Edition

DJ Hero's setlist was unveiled last week, with a whopping 93 tracks for wannabe disc jockeys to mix and master. And over the weekend, Rolling Stone magazine revealed that the game's Renegade Edition will have two dozen additional songs, twelve from Jay-Z and twelve from Eminem. The Jay-Z tracks represent the first ever "best of" compilation from the Jigga Man (although Rolling Stone states that another will be released in November), while Marshall Mathers' contributions show a more eclectic mix of hits and lesser-known songs, including a game-exclusive track called "Taking My Ball".

Speaking to the once-great music mag, Eminem said, "The tracks we put on this disc are mostly overlooked or rarer favorites of mine from all different parts of my career. I also put a brand new, unheard song on there so even the biggest fan has something new." But fans won't have to wait until DJ Hero releases on the 27th to hear Em's new song, as he'll be debuting it on his Sirius radio station on the 16th.

The magazine also revealed the cover art for the Renegade edition (seen above), which features Em and Jay looking, you know, tough. And as previously announced, the artwork was created by Shepard Fairey, the artist most famous for the President Obama's "Hope" logo.
