In keeping with what seems to be the theme of Nintendo's E3 press conference, we just got more news about another classic game franchise that will be rebooted on the Wii. This time around it's Donkey Kong Country, going under the wholly uninspired name of Donkey Kong Country Returns. The game, scheduled to be out this fall, brings back Donkey, Diddy, the mine carts, tons of bananas, adorable enemies, and just about everything else you've come to expect from the franchise.

Once again, Nintendo has reached back into my childhood, extracted on of my favorite gaming memories, and has turned it into a Wii title. From the looks of the video shown today, there doesn't seem to be a lot of room for needless waggle. No, the company seems to know what a fan of the DKC series is looking for, and hasn't messed with the formula too much. Stay tuned for more on Donkey Kong Country Returns as it becomes available.
