Dragon's Lair Coming to DSi
The Fantasy Adventure Where You Become a Handheld Knight!
by Sean

If you're an old-school, cabinet arcade machine fan like myself, you know that one of the best games of that era was the Don Bluth-animated Dragon's Lair. While the game has been ported to just about every system invented since its original 1983 release, there was still one platform that was sadly missing from that list: the Nintendo DSi. However a press release sent out today from Digital Leisure, the game's current rights holder, let the world know that Dirk, Daphne, and all the rest would be coming to the camera-equipped handheld.
The game will be added to the DSiWare store beginning next Monday, the 21st (Europe will have to wait until January 1st). There will be no sacrificing of graphical output for the new port, as Digital Leisure promises that the DSi version will be the original animated form. No price point was mentioned in the official release, nor was there any word if this version will include the additional scenes that Digital Leisure added for the iPhone game. Either way, beginning next week, you can start living like it's 1983 all over again!
