James Cameron's diatribe during yesterday's Ubisoft E3 press conference may have been boring, but fans of his work (and how could you not be?) will be excited to know that a demo for his long-awaited Avatar will be coming sooner than anyone had expected. As in, the demo for Avatar will be available this week.

While the announcement didn't specify which platforms will be getting the demo, the best guess would be Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It was also revealed that while the game and the movie will share locations, they will not share plots. So the game will be a completely different experience from the film. Keep your eyes here on Gamervision for the official word of when the demos are available.
