E3 2009 Details Announced
Open to the Public? Well... Not Quite...
by Sean

Once upon a time, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) was the annual event for gamers and developers. However, since wholesale changes were made to its structure, size, and location in 2007, the show's relevance and reception have been on a steady downward spiral. This past summer's show is regarded by many in the industry as a low point in gaming convention history. There were calls from many corners for the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) to change the show back to what it had once been. Well, it looks like the ESA has listened, and has given G4 the exclusive scoop on the details of E3 2009.
For starters, E3 will be returning to its long time host, the Los Angeles Convention Center. The date is being moved up from last year, and the show will run from June 2nd to June 4th. There have been some rumors floating around that E3 would once again open its doors to the public. G4 is saying that although the show will not be "technically" open to the public, "the ESA plans on getting rid of the rigorous vetting procedure that has kept attendance down for the last couple of years. So expect attendance to shoot up by the thousands!"
Ever ones to stoop to the lowest common denominator, G4 has also made a point of hammering home that they're looking forward to the return of the "booth babes". And thank God! Everyone knows that a model in hot pants makes a game more fun to play!
Here's the full video of the announcement from G4 (note: Gamervision does not condone the viewing of programming on the G4 network, as science has not yet conclusively proven that G4 does not destroy families, brain cells, and worlds...)
