Epic Games Announces Bulletstorm Epic Edition, Epic Access to GoW3 Beta
Did I Mention that It Was Epic?

Bulletstorm, the upcoming FPS from Epic Games, has been getting something of a resurgance in promotion recently. Yesterday the developer sent out an odd holiday gift to certain writers, and today comes the announcement of a special edition for the game, which they're calling the Epic Edition. Priced at a reasonable $59.99, it includes a host of upgrades and bonus in-game content when the game releases. Additionally, buying the Epic Edition will guarantee players acess to the beta for Gears of War 3.
The in-game content that will be unlocked includes an instant 25,000 experience points for the online game, and visual upgrades (read: exclusive skins) for the energy leash, Peace Maker Carbine, boots and armor. As the press release states, "[w]ith this unique gear, gamers can kill with skill in style".
Although Bulletstorm will be released for the 360, PS3 and PC, the Epic Edition will only be available for the 360, most likely due (natch) to the GoW3 beta access. This exclusive edition will go on sale on the same street date as the rest of the versions, February 22, 2011. So if you've already decided to get the game, but were just contemplating which system to get it for, you may have just gotten what you needed to sway the vote.
