Can You Say "Anti-Trust"?

by Sean

The proposed merger (read: hostile takeover) of Take-Two by EA has attracted quite a bit of attention. Mainstream media, shareholders, and even Jack Thompson have all put their two cents in on the propsed $2 billion mega-deal. A press release from EA says that the Federal Trade Commission has now twice requested data from EA regarding the proposed takeover. No details are given about specifically what kind of information the G-men are after, but Newsweek's N'gai Croal has hinted that it may have something to do with the FTC looking into the possibility of anti-trust action against EA.  Stay tuned to Gamervision as this develops.
